1. Objective

This policy outlines the standard operating and handling guidelines for display panels, cameras, and related equipment supplied by Smart Infovision It ensures optimal performance, safety, and validity of service and warranty support.

2. General Usage Conditions

Customers are responsible for maintaining the panel and accessories in a suitable operating environment as per OEM and company recommendations. Failure to follow these guidelines may lead to performance issues and may void warranty coverage.

3. Operating Environment & Moisture Control

Do’s:

  • Always keep the panel in a dry, well-ventilated area.
  • Use a dehumidifier in locations prone to dampness or humidity.
  • Clean the panel using a dry microfiber cloth only.
  • Immediately wipe off any accidental splashes of liquid.

Don’ts:

  • Do not install panels in areas with high humidity, seepage, or direct sunlight/rain exposure.
  • Avoid spraying liquid cleaners directly on the screen.
  • Do not cover ventilation holes—this can cause overheating or moisture accumulation.

Service Implication: Any service call resulting from moisture, humidity, or environmental negligence will be treated as non-warranty and billed accordingly.

4. Power & Electrical Safety

Do’s:

  • Ensure the power supply is stable and properly earthed.
  • Always connect the panel through a UPS or surge protector.
  • Switch off the panel when not in use for extended periods.
  • Use only OEM-specified voltage and power ratings.

Don’ts:

  • Do not connect the panel to fluctuating or unstable power sources.
  • Avoid overloading sockets with multiple devices.
  • Never pull plugs with wet hands.

Service Implication: Issues caused by voltage fluctuation, surge, or power instability will not be covered under warranty and will require chargeable repairs.

5. Handling & Usage

Do’s:

  • Use only the recommended stylus or pen for operation.
  • Handle the device with clean, dry hands.
  • Ensure the panel is mounted or placed on a stable surface as per OEM guidelines.

Don’ts:

  • Do not apply excessive pressure or use sharp objects on the screen.
  • Avoid moving the panel without authorized personnel.
  • Do not allow children to lean, hang, or play on the panel.
  • Prevent exposure to dust, vibration, or direct impact.

Service Implication: Damage resulting from mishandling, improper mounting, or physical impact will be classified as customer-induced damage and will be chargeable.

6. Software, Firmware & Accessories

  • Only use official updates or versions provided by Smart Infovision or the OEM.
  • Use original accessories (stylus, adapters, cables) to avoid compatibility issues.
  • Third-party software or hardware integration must be pre-approved in writing by Smart Infovision.

Service Implication: Any malfunction caused by unauthorized software updates or accessories will not be covered under warranty.

7. Warranty & Service Terms

  • Warranty is applicable only if the product is used under recommended conditions.
  • Service visits for non-warranty issues (power, environment, mishandling, or installation faults) will be chargeable.
  • Smart Infovision reserves the right to inspect and assess the nature of the fault before confirming warranty eligibility.
  • Replacement or repair timelines may vary depending on OEM part availability.

8. Customer Responsibility

By purchasing and installing the panel, the customer agrees to:

  • Maintain the environment and power conditions as mentioned.
  • Ensure proper usage, care, and routine cleaning.
  • Provide easy access to the unit for service or inspection.
  • Report issues promptly through authorized service channels only.

9. Disclaimer

  • Smart Infovision shall not be liable for loss of data, downtime, or indirect damages arising from misuse or negligence.
  • Any service claims where OEM usage standards are not met.
  • Damages caused by third-party installation or accessories.
